Amanda Shields, Customer Service Administrator, Scottish Braille Press

Amandra BrandI am the Customer Service Administrator for the Scottish Braille Press and have been based at Royal Blind for seven years. I am responsible for processing mail received from a variety of banks and clients. I deal with magazine customers and with processing payments. My role involves handling a wide variety of finance tasks such as invoicing, purchasing and providing quotes for clients. 

The most rewarding aspect of my work is producing work for those who are visually impaired, giving them the opportunity to have formats produced such as Braille, Large Print and Audio. I also feel grateful for the friends and people I have met whilst working at the Scottish Braille Press. Everyone is so friendly and this makes the atmosphere within the office a great environment to be in.
