An opportunity has arisen for a Centre Officer to cover maternity leave, based in Paisley.

 

Our Hawkhead Centre is an activity hub which supports the independence of armed forces veterans with sight loss. We are looking for a Centre Officer who will enable members to maximise the benefit and enjoyment they gain from attending the Centre. They will be a key member of the staff team, assessing the needs of our members and developing ways to support their independence.

A position has arisen for a full time Application Support Analyst within the Scottish Braille Press. The post holder will provide applications support at an operational level to internal departments, liaising with IT, system developers and clients as necessary. Translate business requirements and objectives into functional technology requisites that benefit the organisation, developing and implementing solutions for new and enhanced business processes and operating systems, and supporting the resolution of any issues to maintain operational requirements.

An opportunity has arisen for an Outreach Worker to cover maternity leave, based in Glasgow.

 

The outreach worker will provide a person-centred, innovative service to veterans with a vision impairment. The staff work with members of Scottish War Blinded to identify and support their individual needs and so increase and maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. The post will involve considerable travel in order to visit our members in their own homes.

Would you like to join an exciting and unique service for Armed Forces veterans with a vision impairment?

 

Our Linburn Centre is an activity hub which supports the independence of armed forces veterans with sight loss. We are looking for an Activity Support Worker to join our team of skilled and enthusiastic staff, working a flexible 30 hour week, Monday to Friday.

 

In the support worker role you will work with our members to develop ways to support their independence. This may be through implementing care and support plans or assisting members to engage in their chosen activities. You will be expected to work with members both individually and in group settings, enabling them to gain the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their time in the Centre.
