Deputy Care Home Manager

Royal Blind, Scotland’s largest vision impairment charity, is looking for a Deputy Manager to join Braeside House, our Edinburgh care home for vision impaired older people.


The Deputy Manager will assist in the management of the care home and deputise for the Manager when and where necessary, acting as a positive representative at all times for the care home and Royal Blind. The Deputy Manager will ensure that the training and development needs of all staff are met, and will be responsible for policy and decision making in accordance with standards set by Royal Blind, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council.


Staff Nurse

Royal Blind, Scotland’s largest vision impairment charity, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join Jenny’s Well, our care home in Paisley for older people with a vision impairment.


The Staff Nurse will be responsible for leading and delivering relationship centred care to residents with a vision impairment under the direction of the Charge Nurse. The post holder will be a crucial influence on staff to ensure that standards of care are set and maintained.



Administrative Support Assistant

Royal Blind is Scotland’s largest vision impairment organisation. Our vision is to see a community in which blind and partially sighted people, including those who have other disabilities, are fully included and lead fulfilling lives. Our sister charity, Scottish War Blinded, gives free support to ex-service men and women, no matter if they lost their sight during or after service. Together, we operate as the Royal Blind Group and employ over 600 staff.


An opportunity has arisen for a full time Administrative Support Assistant to join the team within Royal Blind for a period of nine months, commencing June 2019.  The post holder is required to provide administrative support to various departments within the Head Office, including the Executive Support Department and the General Office.
