The Scottish War Blinded team of outreach workers is expanding. As the number of people that we support rises, we are increasing our staff team across Scotland. One of the new posts will be based in Aberdeen and cover the city and Aberdeenshire areas.

 

The post holder will join a team of fourteen outreach workers who provide a person-centred, innovative service to veterans with a vision impairment. The staff work with members of Scottish War Blinded to identify and support their individual needs and so increase and maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. The post will involve considerable travel in order to visit our members in the own homes.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and experienced HR Advisor to join our busy HR team. The HR Advisor will provide a professional HR service to all areas of Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded. This is a truly varied role covering a wide range of HR areas including absence management, discipline & grievance, recruitment & selection, learning & development, employee engagement, as well as wide ranging proactive HR project work.

Senior Care Assistant (Nights)

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Care Assistant to join Royal Blind’s Braeside House, our care home for vision impaired older people in Edinburgh, working 3 x 11 hour shifts any 3 nights from 7.

 

Applicants must have an SVQ3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) and will have at least two years’ experience of working in a care environment. The candidate must have the ability to lead a team, have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload in a dynamic environment.
