Royal Blind, Scotland’s largest vision impairment charity, has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team Braeside House, our care home in Edinburgh for older people with a vision impairment.


As part of the nursing team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering relationship centred care to vision impaired residents within Braeside House, with support from the Charge Nurse. You will play a key role in promoting and delivering best practice and influencing the staff team to ensure that standards of care are set and maintained.


Kitchen Assistant

Royal Blind, Scotland’s largest visual impairment charity, is looking for Kitchen Assistants to join Jenny’s Well, our new care home for visually impaired older people.


The Kitchen Assistants will provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment to enable the kitchen and home to function effectively. They will assist in the preparation and service of meals, clear up/wash up after meals and clean areas as detailed in the work schedule.

20 hours (split shifts)

Monday to Friday

8.30am - 10.30am and 2.30pm – 4.30pm



An opportunity has arisen for a Driver to join Scottish War Blinded’s Linburn Centre, an activities based social centre to support the independence of armed forces Veterans with sight loss located in the village of Wilkieston in West Lothian.
